Frequently Asked Questions

Closed cell is dense, hard and a vapour retarder once it is thick enough. Open cell is soft, light and cheaper, but vapour passes through it. Closed cell goes on foundations, crawl spaces and steel, and open cell in some attics and inside walls.

Yes, after it cures. Everyone stays out during spraying and for around a day afterward while fresh air flushes the space. The re-entry time is written down for you.

A smell that lingers usually means the two parts were mixed out of balance when the foam went in. That foam has to be cut out and replaced, because another coat over it will not cure the problem.

Not in a room people use. It needs a covering, normally half-inch drywall. Attics and crawl spaces follow different rules, which we explain for your space.

Foam stops air leaks, and fibreglass lets air pass. Closed cell foam also delivers about twice the R-value per inch. Fibreglass costs less at the start and works fine in some open attics.

Small kits are fine for sealing a few gaps. For whole walls or attics, kits often go on too thin or mix poorly, which leads to shrinkage and smell. Professional equipment heats and balances the two parts, which is why we spray from a rig.

At Ontario rates of about $2 to $7 per square foot, 1,000 square feet comes to roughly $2,000 to $7,000. Product, depth and access move it within that spread.

Yes. Ayr, Branchton, Roseville and rural properties right across the township are all part of our area.

Most house projects get scheduled a few weeks after the estimate is signed. Larger commercial projects are booked around your shifts.
